Christmas is almost here! This year, we are so excited to share with you these wonderful displays of Christmas lights to let you experience true Christmas magic! With over a million lights hung throughout the area, this experience is one you don’t want to miss. As we look forward to this year, we are reminded of all the festivities that come with these events. There’s plenty to see in Houston this holiday season, and we’ve made a list of some of the most notable displays that you’ll surely not want to miss - and best of all, these are all FREE.
Head over to River Oaks to witness one of Houston's most picturesque neighborhoods converted into a festive Christmas neighborhood. The people of River Oaks don't skimp when it comes to decking out their houses and yards with countless Christmas lights. Sometimes, it may even be a friendly competition within the neighborhood as to who has the best set up that would definitely give you that festive feeling!

2. Downtown-Winter Wonderland (Bagby & Discovery Green )
This is hands down one of the most awaited Christmas lights displays in H-town! It has lots of activities and bright displays that’ll really let you feel the festive season that’s about to come.
Winter Wonderland will be filled with not only Christmas lights, but also fun activities, cheerful caroling music and lots more!
This is all free to the public to enjoy and you can also bring your furry friends to celebrate this year’s festive season!

Some of the city's best light shows may be found in the beautiful Heights area.
Admire the area's gorgeous craftsman-style architecture as you drive or stroll around; it looks even more lovely adorned for the holidays. Start your exploration of the area between Studewood and Florence on Highland and Omar Streets.

4. Market Street ( Woodlands)
This is Tradition! As The Woodlands will have their annual lighting of their 70-foot Christmas tree, complete with Christmas music and twinkling lights. Sponsored By Texas Children’s hospital and Sewell Automotive. More than 25,000 lights in various colors decorate Central Park . The "Market Street in Lights" exhibition will run every night during the holiday season.

If you can’t go to Market Street, There’s another Christmas tree lighting that will also give you that festive feeling!
Located in The Galleria, Houses a 55-foot indoor Christmas tree with over 5,000 ornaments installed.
Even though the lighting of the Christmas tree will occur later that evening, there will be a plethora of family-friendly activities available throughout the day, including face painting, balloon sculptures, and a coloring station. Keep an eye out for the fireworks show and Santa Claus on skates. Parents who want to start planning their holiday gifts early should keep a lookout for promotions from participating retailers.
There will also be a new photo opportunity this year. A forest-like backdrop will be created with 35 white-flocked trees that will be placed up. The landscape is breathtaking, especially when it "snows" every day.
